The 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run Board of Directors has decided to move forward with this year's event scheduled for the weekend of July 17th in Clayton, NY. This decision was not made lightly as we are very concerned about the health and safety of our fellow boaters, volunteers, spectators and the benefactors of this great event.
But damn if—after calling organizer Jeff Morgan yesterday—I’m not excited to get to the 1,000 Islands Charity Poker Run July 21 in Clayton, N.Y. (OK, I confess, the added benefit is that my gal and I will get to spend a few days before the run with my daughter and her boyfriend in New York City.).

Renee Lalonde, Ontario, NY & Alexandria Bay, NY. Treasurer – 1000 Islands Charity Poker Run. VP of Finance & Administration of Five Star Tool Company in Rochester. Renee grew up in Brewerton, NY and is a former VP of Commercial Banking where she managed a large portfolio comprised of non-profit organizations. She is the wife of Ken and mom of their two sons, 18 and 15 years old. Ken and Renee met in Alex Bay in 1992 and have always loved the region for the River and all its beauty.

Provide an exciting event with spectacular boats in a safe family-friendly environment.
Promote Clayton and the Thousand Islands Region.

- The River Community Wellness Program for Treatment of Veterans

Our objective is to raise money through Corporate Sponsors, silent auction items, t-shirt sales and Boater entry fees.

1000 Islands Charity Poker Run Accident Today

The 1000 Islands Charity poker Run is intended to be a safe family-friendly event. There will be many things to experience, both on and off the water. Expect more ‘slow zones’, allowing for participants and spectators alike to have a clear view of the boats at a safe distance.

100% of all donations and proceeds will be going to charity.
